EDITOR'S NOTES

By the time that you receive this copy of the Journal, summer will be here and we will be half through the year again. It seems that time does fly by.  BRNA is gearing up hot and heavy for the annual convention that takes place August 24th thru 26th.

This copy will be a little late in publishing since we will try to get an update bourse floor layout and dealers. Of course the dealer’s list will probably change at the last minute due to unforeseen situations that might arise for the dealers. Hopefully they can all attend as schedule. If not I am sure that Bob Hurst, will fill those tables from the waiting list of dealers.

I will try to make it this year to help out in any capacity that is needed. Also will try to take some photos that can be used on the web site and published in the Journal after the convention.

I am still looking for collectors and dealers to write an article for the Journal that would provide a brief write up about themselves and how they started as a collector or dealer.

The Journal is now on the website. It will contain the same information as the printed copy, but not in the same format. The show calendar and the list of dealer’s that advertise in the Journal has a separate link. On the website there is a link to the current Journal, after clicking on that it takes you to a Table of Contents that links to the main information that appears in the Journal. At the present time, I have not set a length of time for the current Journal will be available online. Will play that as time goes by.

This year there will be a survey taken by the customers to name the best dealer of the show. This form will be given to the customer upon sign in and turned in when the individual leaves the show. This is being done to see which one of the dealers that the customer thinks provides the best service at their table.

WANTED: Blue Ridge Numismatic Association is looking for any memorabilia for the upcoming 50th Annual BRNA Convention that will be held in 2009. If any of the collectors or dealers that might have some put away or anywhere, BRNA is looking for any type of material.

NEEDED FROM OUR ADVERTISERS - If your ad was based upon a business card, I would like you to send a new one to be used.  I would like to redo some of these ads and need the cards for a better scan. If you want to have a new ad make contact so I can inform you on what type of softcopy that is needed.
